The Administrative Council

The ABU's "board of directors" is called the Administrative Council. It consists of 14 of its Full and Additional Full members, who are elected by the members at the annual General Assembly for a three-year term. The council meets twice-yearly to decide on policy matters, review the Union's finances and consider current issues facing the Union.

With effect from 1 January 2012, the Administrative Councillors are:

  • Bhutan Broadcasting Service (BBS)
  • Radio Television Brunei (RTB)
  • Radio and Television of the People's Republic of China (RTPRC)
  • Islamic Republic of Iran, Broadcasting (IRIB)
  • Nippon Hoso Kyokai, Japan (NHK)
  • Korean Broadcasting System (KBS)
  • Teledifusao de Macau (TDM)
  • Radio Television Malaysia (RTM)
  • Mongolian National Public Radio and Television (MNB)
  • Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation (PBC)
  • Eye Television Network Limited (HUM TV)
  • TV Pool of Thailand (TPT)
  • Turkish Radio and Television Corporation (TRT)
  • Radio and Television of Hong Kong (RTHK)
