Seminar on Copyright and Other Broadcasting Issues. Topics include:

Internet TV: Will broadcasters remain in control of their content on TV?

Alternative Dispute Resolution: How effective is the system and how will broadcasters benefit from it?

Fair Dealing: A defence to a copyright infringement for the use of copyrighted materials without owners' consent.

Copyright Enforcement Strategies: How different countries are coping with enforcing copyright protections?

 

Day 3: 21 July 2011 (9am to 12:30pm)

Workshop on Copyright Law and Media Law

This session is tailored for broadcast professionals.

At the workshop, you will look at the application of Copyright Law and Media Law on the daily operation of a broadcasting organisation, more particularly on the use of copyrighted materials, legal protection of broadcast content and signal, and other important legal issues confronting broadcasting organisations today.

You will analyse case studies for better understanding and appreciation of issues and problems.
