CALL FOR NOMINATIONS
ABU ENGINEERING EXCELLENCE AWARDS 2012
The Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union is calling for nominations for the ABU Engineering Excellence Awards 2012.
The closing date for nominations is 30 June 2012.
ABU Engineering Industry Excellence Award
Citation
plaque presented during the Opening Session of the Technical Committee
Meeting preceding the ABU General Assembly in Seoul on 12 October.
Custom-made trophy presented at the ABU Prizes Night during the ABU General Assembly on 16 October.
An invitation to all future Technical Committee meetings as a ‘Distinguished Observer’.

ABU BROADCAST ENGINEERING EXCELLENCE AWARDS 2011
Mr A K Bhatnagar, Engineer-in-Chief of Doordarshan (DDI), India’s public television broadcaster, was awarded the ABU Broadcast Engineering Excellence Award. This award recognizes contributions of an outstanding nature in broadcast engineering made by an individual in a broadcasting organization. The Broadcast Engineering Excellence Award is sponsored by Professional Solutions Asia Pacific Company (Hong Kong) (Sony).

Mr Wang Jianqiang, Vice-President of Shanghai Media Group/RTPRC, China, was awarded the ABU Engineering Industry Excellence Award. The award recognises the most outstanding engineering contribution made by an individual to the broadcasting industry in the Asia-Pacific region.
The Distinguished Service Award for 2011 was awarded to
David Wood, Deputy Director, Technology and Development, European
Broadcasting Union.

COMMENDED ARTICLE AWARDS
