BBC will show 33 hours of Olympics per day

A total of 765 BBC staff will cover the London Olympics, BBC has
revealed. It will include pioneering 3D coverage of the men’s 100 metres
final. Staffing levels for the Games are up 55 per cent compared to
Beijing four years ago.

The in-country Workshop on “Management: 21st Century Norms and Decision Making Process”, organized jointly by the ABU, Maldives Broadcasting Corporation (MBC) and Villa Television (VTV), began yesterday in Male’, Maldives. The workshop is held at MBC’s broadcast facility in Male’. The two-day workshop is targeted at senior executives, decision makers and senior management staff in their respective Radio and TV broadcasting organization in Maldives.

digital TV coverage. But this is changing. Broadcast Australia’s
18-month program to deliver a full suite of digital channels to regional
WA is now well underway with the first site connected last July and
completion of the program expected this August.

Four New DAB Transmitters Serve London and Environs

London's DAB signal coverage received a boost when new digital radio
transmitters were switched. The new DAB transmitters on the London
Telecom Tower and three elsewhere in London mark the final phase of a
two-year long collaboration between broadcasters and multiplex operators
to improve DAB transmission in London.

ASBU upgrades MENOS to HDTV
